This site is for Readers, trainee Readers and would-be Readers.
We hope that you will find here lots of worthwhile material to support and develop
your ministry, under three headings:

Information
Details of LDAR Committee and Deanery Reader Groups.
A regularly updated Lifelong Learning Programme,
Dates for Events for Readers (and Trainees) and news about courses.
Items of importance, such as current Working Agreements and Ministerial Review,
the NEW DRAFT Working Agreement for 2009-2014 and the proposed Working Agreement during an Interregnum.

Resources
Contributions from Licensed Readers and trainee Readers.
Links to worthwhile sites on the internet under categories helpful for Readers:
Biblical (OT and NT); Historical; Ecclesial; Spiritual (including Sermons);and
(perhaps the first you'll go to) miscellaneous.
Books - lists and reviews.
You may like to try the forum (discussion board) at the National Readers Website.
And you can read Bishop Graham Dow's recent paper about Reader Morale.

Requests
There is now the opportunity to share prayer requests with the rest of us, to ask for help, and to request (or offer) particular books. Please use this service!

We also want you to get back to us with your ideas and comments - this is YOUR site!
