Janet Goodwin, Reader in Bootle Team Ministry, asks for prayer for her niece, Samantha, who is facing a court case. Also for her family, and for her defence solicitors.

Almost instant answer: none of the people making allegations against Samantha turned up in court! Please continue to pray for Janet's family, who have found the past year very difficult indeed.

Janet said in her email on 27th August:

Many thanks, for prayers. My own faith has gone through a real testing time because of illness, unable to work at present, so many thanks to one and all.
With heartfelt grattitude, God is good. My help comes from the Lord.
Ephesians 5 v  20 Always give thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Can you pray for my closest friend's business called Rent a Handyman, which has gone quiet through new year. Phillip is starting to worry about finances and bill payment. He still gives a very good service and helps me with repairs and bill payment in my Christian home. He has recently joined a small christian fellowship group locally and we feel he may be under a bit of spiritual attack on this front.
Please pray for business to pick up and his financial protection.

It is with great sadness that we tell you that our friend at St. Michael's Sutton Bill Honey passed away. Bill was a pillar of the church at St. Michael's Sutton, being a warden for many years. Bill was a brilliant bloke. He was a friend to everyone, he would be there for anyone at anytime and he was always smiling. He was always the first to hold out his hand to give a warm loving welcome into the church. He encouraged everyone to develop, and was always there to help people to reach their potential. St. Michael's was a place he loved. Bill will be greatly missed by everyone. I am so proud to have known Bill. Through my reader training 2002 - 05 Bill was always there to ease the way, calm the nerves of preaching and most of all prayed for me. We will miss his smile, we'll miss him pulling sweets from behind our ears. We will miss him dearly. The world has lost a great man. He is now praising and worshipping in heaven and he will be there to reach out his hand to give people a warm friendly loving welcome into heaven. God Bless you Bill. Please pray for Rose and his family to help them through this time of grief.
